The Banner T30UXIA is an ultrasonic sensor designed for distance measurement in industrial environments. It detects objects from 100 mm up to 1 m using sound waves unaffected by target colour or transparency. The unit operates on a 10 to 30V dc supply and provides a 4 to 20 mA analog output proportional to measured distance. It suits process control, level monitoring and positioning tasks where non-contact sensing is required.

Temperature compensation

Built-in temperature compensation maintains measurement accuracy across ambient temperature shifts without external calibration. A 2 m (6.5 ft) cable is permanently attached, removing the need for separate connector wiring and reducing potential failure points. The analog current loop output transmits signals over long cable runs with high noise immunity. These features reduce setup time and improve reliability in harsh electrical environments.

4 to 20 mA output defines compatibility

The sensor communicates exclusively through a 4 to 20 mA current loop, so the receiving controller or PLC must support this standard analog input. Systems requiring voltage outputs, digital protocols or switching signals cannot use this unit without additional conversion hardware.
