The Banner T30UXIAQ8 is an ultrasonic proximity sensor designed for industrial automation and distance measurement tasks. It detects objects from 100 mm to 1000 mm using time-of-flight technology. The barrel-style housing is made from PBT material and includes LED indicators for status monitoring. It operates on a 10 to 30 V dc supply with a 500 ms power-up delay.

Analog 4-20 mA Output Configuration

The decisive specification is the analog output configured as a 4 to 20 mA current loop. This provides a continuous signal proportional to the measured distance across the full sensing range. The output supports a maximum load resistance calculated from the supply voltage. Resolution is specified as 0.1% of distance with a 0.5 mm minimum repeatability. A teach button allows for setup adjustments without a PC.

Temperature Compensation and Shock Resistance

Temperature effect is rated at 0.02% of sensing distance per degree Celsius, providing stable readings across environmental changes.
