Two-pack portable radio set

This package contains two compact two-way radios designed for outdoor communication. Each unit operates on a 7.4 V supply and offers up to 999 memory channels across the 108-520 MHz receive and 144-450 MHz transmit ranges. The set includes two 2200 mAh batteries, high-gain antennas, belt clips and USB-C cables.

Suits teams needing instant dual-channel access

The dual PTT layout lets users switch between two frequencies instantly, which helps hiking groups, hunters or campers coordinate without menu delays. NOAA weather alerts and a built-in flashlight add safety value for remote trips. Buyers who require waterproof submersion rating or single-unit purchase should look elsewhere.

Dual PTT with 2200 mAh battery per radio

The defining specification is the twin push-to-talk buttons paired with a high-capacity cell on each handset. This combination delivers extended talk time and immediate A/B channel selection, making the pair practical for multi-group outdoor scenarios where quick frequency changes matter.

Questions about this item

How long will the 2200mAh battery last before it needs replacing?

The 2200mAh lithium-ion pack is rated for hundreds of charge cycles; expect several years of daily use before capacity drops enough to warrant a new cell.

What stops a long transmission session first — heat or battery?

The 7.4 V supply and 2200mAh capacity mean the battery empties before the radio overheats; continuous TX at full power drains the pack in a few hours.

Does the radio get hot or noisy when running all day on receive?

In receive-only mode the unit stays cool and silent; the speaker draws little current and there is no fan, so heat and noise stay negligible.
