Meeting-room presentation hub

The Barco R9861005NA is a ClickShare CSC-1 Base Unit built for conference rooms and boardrooms that need wireless sharing from laptops, tablets or phones. It accepts up to 64 paired Buttons and the ClickShare apps for iOS and Android, letting four participants show content side by side. The unit ships new and includes a VGA converter for legacy displays.

Upgrade from single-screen ClickShare

Earlier Base Units limited you to one display output; this model adds dual-screen support through DisplayPort and DVI-I, or VGA with reduced blanking at the highest resolutions. The jump is worth it when you drive two projectors, two flat panels or a Double HD canvas and want simultaneous multi-user viewing without swapping cables. Analog line-in and line-out on 3.5 mm jacks handle room audio.

Interface and power limits

Video leaves the box over DisplayPort, single-link DVI-I or VGA, so 4K or high-refresh formats beyond the specified 30 fps ceiling are not supported. The Ethernet port provides a single wired LAN link; no wireless back-haul or additional network interfaces are present. Power draw peaks at 35 W, idles at 2.5 W and typically runs at 20 W, so the supply must deliver that headroom.

Questions about this item

What rack space and clearance does the 7.13" x 10.24" x 10.90" unit need?

The base unit measures 7.13 inches high including antennas, 10.24 inches wide and 10.90 inches deep at minimum, so allow at least that footprint plus cable bend radius behind the rear USB and video ports.

Which video outputs must be used together for dual-screen mode during setup?

Connect one display to the DisplayPort and the second to the single-link DVI-I, or use the included VGA converter on the DVI-I port; the firmware requires those specific pairs for dual-screen operation.

When will the internal power supply or fan need replacement given the 35 W maximum draw?

The supply is rated for continuous operation at up to 35 W and typical 20 W; no user-serviceable fan or power module is documented, so plan on full-unit replacement if either fails.
