BARSKA 20-60x65 Spotting Scope

The BARSKA 20-60x65 WP Level is a straight-body spotting scope designed for outdoor enthusiasts and precision observers. It offers a variable magnification range of 20x to 60x with a 65 mm objective lens. The unit features fully multi-coated optics and a BaK-4 Porro prism system for high-contrast images. Its nitrogen-filled housing provides waterproof and fogproof performance in demanding field conditions.

Check mounting and field-of-view needs

Verify that your existing tripod accepts the built-in mounting socket for stable, extended viewing sessions. At 20x magnification the field of view is 72.45/22 and narrows to 30.45/9.28 at 60x, so confirm this angular coverage suits your typical observation distances. The scope lacks night-vision capability, so it is intended for daylight or well-lit environments only. Ensure the straight eyepiece orientation matches your preferred viewing posture.

Suits birdwatchers, hunters, and nature observers

This scope suits users who need a rugged, waterproof optic for detailed long-range observation of wildlife or landscapes. The variable zoom and fogproof construction support extended sessions in unpredictable weather. It is not intended for buyers who require night-vision functionality or an angled eyepiece design for different viewing angles. Users needing a wider field of view at maximum magnification than 30.45/9.28 should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Does the spotting scope come with a tripod or do I need to buy one separately?

The scope includes a built-in tripod mounting socket for stable viewing; a tripod is listed as an accessory and must be purchased separately.

How do I choose between the 20x and 60x magnification settings for my use?

Use 20x for a wide 72.45/22 field of view to scan landscapes; switch to 60x for detailed observation with a narrower 30.45/9.28 field.

What does the 65 mm objective lens mean for brightness when I am using the scope at 60x?

The 65 mm objective gathers ample light, and the fully multi-coated Bak4 Porro prism maintains bright, high-contrast images across the full 20-60x zoom range.
