The Barska Student Stereo Microscope is a binocular optical instrument built for students and hobbyists who want a three-dimensional view of solid specimens. It uses paired 10x and 25x eyepieces with a 2x objective to deliver four magnification steps ranging from 10x to 50x. The interpupillary distance adjusts from 55 to 75 mm so different users can share the instrument comfortably.

Magnification and illumination

Coarse focusing with large knobs makes it straightforward to bring larger, opaque samples into sharp relief during extended observation sessions. The built-in top LED lights the specimen from above, providing consistent brightness for surface detail without the heat or bulb changes of older lamps. Magnification changes are made by swapping eyepieces, so the optical path stays aligned throughout a lesson or project.

Build and everyday use

A sturdy metal frame resists knocks on a classroom bench while remaining light enough to move between workstations. The stage accepts both blank and prepared slides, letting users examine ready-made samples or mount their own finds straight away. A starter set of prepared slides is included so new users can begin exploring immediately after unboxing.
