What it is

This is a 24 V AC-to-DC switching power supply rated for 5 A maximum output. It accepts a universal AC input from 100 V to 240 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The unit is intended for fixed installations such as LED strips, CCTV cameras, monitors and similar 24 V equipment. It is not a battery charger and must not be used to charge laptops or any device with an internal battery.

Plug fit

The barrel connector measures 5.5 mm outer diameter with an inner diameter between 2.1 mm and 2.5 mm. Polarity is centre positive and sleeve negative; reversing the connection will damage the load. The adapter only fits devices that use this exact plug size and polarity, so buyers with a different jack or reversed polarity cannot use it.

Built-in protections include overload, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit cut-off.
