Power rating and plug type

This BASEUS adapter delivers 24 V DC at up to 3 A for a maximum of 72 W. It accepts a universal AC input of 100 V to 240 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. The output plug measures 5.5 mm by 2.5 mm with centre-positive polarity. A screw-terminal female DC connector is included for custom wiring.

Compatibility checks

Verify that your device requires exactly 24 V DC and draws no more than 3 A. Confirm the power port matches the 5.5 mm by 2.5 mm centre-positive barrel. Ensure the equipment is not a battery charger, as this unit is an AC-to-DC supply only. Check that the load stays under 72 W to avoid triggering the overload protection.

Thermals, noise and power

The adapter runs silently with no fan and maintains a low casing temperature during normal operation. Built-in safeguards include over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and short-circuit cut-off. A fire-retardant shell adds further safety. The unit is certified to FCC, CE and RoHS standards.

Questions about this item

Does the package include anything besides the 24V 72W adapter itself?

The box contains the AC to DC adapter with a 5.5x2.5mm plug and a screw-terminal female DC connector for wiring without soldering.

How do I decide between the 2.7A, 2.5A and 2A current ratings shown in the title?

The unit delivers up to 3A; it automatically supplies whatever your device draws up to that limit, so choose the model that matches your device's voltage and connector.

What does the 72W headline figure mean when I connect a CCTV camera or LED strip?

It is the maximum continuous output power; your 24V equipment will draw only the watts it needs up to 72W, and built-in protections shut the adapter down if that limit is exceeded.
