5V 1A AC Adapter with 10ft Cord

This BASEUS adapter converts 100-240V AC mains power to a regulated 5V DC output at a maximum of 1A. It is designed for users who need a replacement or spare power supply for low-voltage electronics that draw up to 5W. The 10ft cable provides flexible placement without requiring an extra extension lead.

5.5mm x 2.5mm Barrel Plug Compatibility

The unit terminates in a 5.5mm outer diameter by 2.5mm inner diameter DC connector with centre-positive polarity. It also accepts devices fitted with a 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug. Verifying this exact plug size and polarity against the target device is the single specification that determines whether the adapter will work.

5W Maximum Output for Light Loads

The adapter comfortably powers 5V devices such as Bluetooth receivers, LED strip controllers, small fans, baby monitors or laptop coolers that draw 1A or less. The manufacturer advises operating below 80% of the 1000mA rating for longevity. It cannot support equipment requiring more than 1A at 5V or any device with a different voltage or connector polarity.

Questions about this item

What does the 5 W output mean for the devices I can run?

It can power any 5 V device that draws 1 A or less — typical examples are LED strips, small fans, Bluetooth receivers or a laptop cooler — just confirm your device needs 5 V and ≤ 1 A.

The barrel plug is listed as 5.5 × 2.5 mm and 2.1 mm — which one will actually fit?

The connector shipped is 5.5 mm outer diameter with a 2.5 mm centre pin; it also mates with 5.5 × 2.1 mm jacks because the 2.5 mm pin centres in the larger hole — polarity is centre-positive, barrel-negative.

How much reach does the 10 ft cord give me for desk or wall mounting?

The 10 ft (3 m) cable runs from the wall wart to the barrel plug, so you can place the adapter at a socket and still reach equipment across a desk or up a shelf without an extra extension lead.
