What it is

The Baseus AAA battery AC power supply adapter replaces three standard AAA cells in low-to-medium current devices. It connects to an external AC-to-DC wall adapter, eliminating the need to buy and swap disposable batteries. A thin flat cable routes under the battery cover so the device sits level. Overcharge, short-circuit and overcurrent protection are built into the unit.

Who it suits and who it does not

It suits owners of remotes, sensors, toys or similar gadgets that run on three AAA batteries and have a nearby mains socket. It is not for devices that draw high current, for portable gear used away from a wall outlet, or for anyone wanting a standalone power bank. The dummy cells cannot be recharged in a battery charger; doing so causes a short circuit.

Behaviour under sustained load

Because the adapter draws continuous power from the wall supply, output remains stable for as long as the AC adapter is connected and the protection circuits stay within their limits. There is no capacity fade or voltage drop that occurs with chemical cells during extended use. The flat cable and dummy-cell housing add negligible resistance, so the connected device sees a steady supply without the gradual decline typical of battery operation.
