Radio battery for Kenwood TK series

This 7.5 V 1800 mAh Ni-MH pack replaces Kenwood KNB-14, KNB-15 and KNB-20 cells and fits TK260, TK270, TK360 and TK370 handsets. It is built for crews who need a drop-in power source that meets or exceeds the original specification without modification.

Upgrade from worn or lower-capacity packs

Swapping an aged cell that no longer holds a full shift’s charge restores the radio to its rated run-time. The jump is worth it when the original battery falls below 80 % of its 1800 mAh rating or shows physical damage from daily knocks.

Sustained output under rugged use

High-grade cells and high-impact ABS and polycarbonate housing survive six drops from six feet on every face while continuing to deliver power. Comprehensive shock, vibration, thermal-cycling and overcharge testing backs an 18-month guarantee that capacity stays above 80 % from date of shipment.

Questions about this item

Which Kenwood radios accept the KNB-15A battery form factor?

The KNB-15A fits the TK260, TK270, TK360 and TK370 two-way radios.

What is the correct orientation when inserting this battery into the radio?

Align the battery rails with the radio grooves and slide it in until the latch clicks; forcing it the wrong way can damage the contacts.

When should I expect the battery to drop below 80 % of its 1800 mAh capacity?

The manufacturer guarantees 80 % capacity retention for 18 months from shipment; plan a replacement around that mark.
