12V 3.8A Automatic Battery Charger
This automatic charger handles 6 V and 12 V lead-acid batteries from 4 Ah to 90 Ah. It supports wet, MF, AGM and GEL chemistries with a maximum charge current of 3.8 A. The unit runs from a 120 V 60 Hz mains supply and includes full protection against reverse polarity, over-charge, short-circuit, over-temperature and high or low voltage conditions.
LCD Display and Interchangeable Lead Sets
A built-in LCD shows charging status while the automatic programme selects the correct profile for motorcycle, car or snowmobile batteries. Detachable cables let you switch between alligator clips and ring terminals without tools. The charger manages the complete cycle on its own once the battery type and terminal style are chosen.
120 V AC Input and 14.7 V Peak Output
The charger draws power from a standard 120 V 60 Hz outlet and delivers a maximum charging voltage of 14.4 V or 14.7 V depending on the selected mode. It is limited to lead-acid chemistries and cannot charge lithium-based packs. The 3.8 A current ceiling means large-capacity banks above 90 Ah will charge slowly or not reach full state.

Questions about this item
How often will the detachable alligator clips or ring terminals need replacing on this 3.8A charger?
The leads are detachable and interchangeable; replace them only if the insulation cracks or the connectors loosen after repeated use.
What limits continuous charging on the 12 V 3.8 A output?
Over-temperature protection stops the charger if it gets too hot, then resumes automatically once it cools.
How much heat or noise does the unit produce when left running all day?
It runs silently with no fan; only the LCD display draws power while the charger cycles on and off to maintain the battery.
