12V Automatic Charger for Lead-Acid Batteries
The BatteryJack inc. 12V charger handles sealed lead-acid batteries from 2 to 90Ah including AGM, GEL and VRLA types. It accepts 120V 60Hz mains input and delivers selectable 6V or 12V DC output up to 3.8A. An LCD display shows status while automatic protection guards against reverse polarity, over-charge, short-circuit, over-temperature and high or low voltage conditions.
Plug-In Operation with Swappable Leads
Connect the unit to mains power, choose the included alligator clips or ring terminals, then pick the motorcycle, car or snowmobile preset on the LCD menu. The charger then manages the cycle without further input. The only common issue is selecting the wrong voltage preset for the fitted battery, which the protection circuitry will flag but which still delays the charge.
3.8A Maximum Current Limits Large-Bank Charging
The 3.8A peak current means a fully discharged 90Ah battery will require many hours to reach full state of charge. The charger is designed for maintenance and overnight top-ups rather than rapid recovery of deeply depleted banks. It does not support lithium chemistries or voltages beyond the 14.4V and 14.7V maximums stated for lead-acid modes.
