What this charger does
This charger maintains 6 V and 12 V lead-acid batteries for cars, trucks, motorcycles, mowers and RVs. It delivers a 3 A constant current through three automatic stages and stops when the battery reaches float voltage. It is not suited for lithium chemistries or for jump-starting a dead battery.
Thermals noise and power draw
The unit runs from 100 to 240 V AC at 50 to 60 Hz and draws 1.0 A at the input. No fan is fitted, so operation is silent. The compact case stays cool during the constant-current, constant-voltage and float phases thanks to the low 3 A output.
Bundled accessories and software
The package contains the charger only. No cables, clamps or mounting hardware are included. There is no companion software or app; all charging logic is handled by the onboard microprocessor and indicated by the red and green LEDs.

Questions about this item
How do I connect the BatteryJack charger to a 12 V lead-acid battery without triggering the polarity error protection?
Attach the red clamp to the positive terminal and the black clamp to the negative terminal before plugging the unit into 100 to 240 V AC; the built-in polarity error protection will prevent operation if the clamps are reversed.
What upkeep does the charger itself require after regular use on RV and motorcycle batteries?
No internal maintenance is needed; simply keep the ventilation slots clear of dust and inspect the output cables for damage, as the unit has no user-serviceable parts.
At what point will the charger stop delivering the full 3.0 A during a long charging session?
The charger reduces current once the battery reaches the constant-voltage stage at 14.3 to 14.7 V for 12 V batteries, then switches to float voltage at 13.5 to 13.8 V.
