  • 18-month manufacturer warranty backs battery performance

Battery Chemistry and Voltage

This is a Nickel Cadmium battery pack rated at 7.4V with a 2000mAh capacity, built to fit Motorola CP200 series radios. It uses high-grade cells and is supplied new, ready for immediate deployment in professional two-way radio fleets.

Intended Users and Limitations

Suits teams that standardise on CP200 compatible handsets and need a rugged spare that survives repeated drops from six feet onto all six sides. Not for operators who require lithium-ion energy density, lighter weight, or chemistry that avoids the memory effect associated with NiCd packs.

Capacity and Compatibility

The 2000mAh rating determines usable talk time per charge cycle, while the 7.4V output must match the radio’s voltage requirement. Compatibility is limited to models including CP150 and PR400 references, so verify the exact handset model before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the CP200 battery or the CP150 and PR400 models listed as compatible?

The CP200 is the exact model this pack is built for; CP150 and PR400 are alternative Motorola radios that also accept the same 7.4 V 2000 mAh NiCd pack.

What does 7.4 V 2000 mAh deliver in a real radio?

It provides the standard 7.4 volt supply and roughly 2000 milliampere-hours of capacity for typical talk-time on a Motorola CP200 series radio.

Does the NiCd chemistry or the pack design limit charge speed?

Recharge time is charger dependent; the pack itself has no built-in charge-rate restriction beyond standard NiCd practice.
