  • Survives six drops from six feet on every side
  • Built with highest-grade cells for consistent performance

Purpose-built power

This 7.5 V 2200 mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the FNB-V104Li pack used in Yaesu Vertex VX-230 and VX-231 two-way radios. It is intended for operators who need a direct-fit replacement that meets the original voltage and capacity ratings.

Compatibility check

Verify that your radio is a VX-230, VX-231 or VX-231L model and that the existing pack is marked 7.5 V with a similar mAh rating. The battery uses the factory connector and latch, so no adapter or modification is required for these units.

Sustained operation

The chemistry delivers steady output across a full duty cycle rather than a brief peak, supporting extended transmit periods on marine or land-mobile channels. Housing is tested to survive six drops from six feet on every side without fracture or power loss.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need a separate charger for the FNB-V104Li?

The box contains the 7.5 V 2200 mAh Li-ion battery only. A compatible Yaesu Vertex charger for the VX-230 or VX-231 is required and sold separately.

Should I choose the 7.5 V 2200 mAh version or a different capacity for my VX-231?

The FNB-V104Li is offered in a single 7.5 V 2200 mAh Li-ion configuration that matches the original equipment specification for the VX-230 and VX-231.

What does the 2200 mAh rating mean for actual talk time on a VX-230?

At 7.5 V the 2200 mAh pack supplies the same capacity as the OEM battery, giving equivalent transmit and receive runtime on the VX-230 or VX-231.
