  • 18 month warranty backs the replacement battery

Kenwood KNB48Li replacement battery

This 7.5V 2600mAh lithium-ion pack replaces the original Kenwood KNB48Li in compatible two-way radios. It is built for professionals who need reliable power during marine or field operations. The cell chemistry delivers steady voltage across the discharge curve.

Drop-tested durability upgrade

The housing survives six drops from six feet on every side without cracking or losing function. That ruggedness exceeds many standard packs that can fail after a single impact. The improvement matters for crews working on deck or in rough vehicles where knocks are routine.

2600mAh capacity for full-shift use

At 2600mAh the pack runs a typical Kenwood radio through a standard duty cycle with reserve left for extended calls. Heavy transmit users will see the gauge drop faster and should carry a spare. The 18 month warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Questions about this item

Will the KNB48Li battery fit my Kenwood radio without an adapter?

The KNB48Li is a direct replacement for Kenwood models that use the original KNB48Li pack; it slides into the radio’s battery rail and locks with the existing latch.

What is the correct way to install the battery so it locks securely?

Align the pack’s grooves with the radio rails, push straight in until the release button clicks, then tug gently to confirm the latch engaged; the common mistake is stopping before the click.

How long before the 7.5 V 2600 mAh pack needs replacing?

The 18 month warranty covers defects; typical Li-ion service life is several hundred charge cycles, after which run-time will noticeably decline and a new pack is recommended.
