Magnetic mount adapter for antenna trials

The Panorama Antennas SAB-225 is a mounting adapter designed for use with LPMM and LGMM low-profile MiMo antennas. It provides a magnetic mounting solution that enables quick antenna trials and drive-testing without drilling holes in the vehicle body. The unit uses three heavy-duty magnets fitted to a stainless steel plate for secure attachment to metal surfaces.

Suits temporary testing on metal vehicle roofs

This adapter suits engineers and installers who need to evaluate antenna performance at different locations before permanent installation. It is not intended for buyers who require a permanent fixed mount, nor for those needing to install antennas on non-metallic surfaces such as fibreglass or carbon-fibre panels where magnetic adhesion will not work.

Stable hold during extended drive tests

The three heavy-duty magnets maintain a firm grip on steel bodywork throughout prolonged drive-testing sessions, resisting vibration and airflow at road speeds. The stainless steel base plate resists corrosion during outdoor exposure, keeping the mounting surface clean for repeated attachment and removal cycles.

Questions about this item

Which antenna series must I already own for the SAB-225 adapter to fit?

The SAB-225 is designed for the LPMM and LGMM low-profile MiMo antenna ranges.

Will the three heavy-duty magnets hold on a steel roof that already has an older antenna base attached?

Yes, the stainless-steel plate with three magnets grips any flat ferrous surface, so it works alongside an existing mount.

How can I confirm the SAB-225 is positioned correctly during a drive test?

Monitor the antenna's signal metrics while the magnetic base remains firmly attached to the vehicle roof.
