Questions about this item

How do I install the NTN9815 battery in my XTS2500, and what step is often missed?

Slide the pack into the radio until the latch clicks; the step users miss is fully seating the contacts so the charge indicator lights on first dock.

What maintenance or replacement will the NTN9815 NiMH pack need over time?

Plan to replace the pack when talk-time drops noticeably; the cells are rated for hundreds of cycles and the supplier backs them for 18 months.

What limit appears first during extended transmit sessions with the 1525 mAh pack?

Voltage sag under continuous high-power transmit cuts usable capacity before the pack overheats, so long talks run shorter than the mAh rating suggests.
