Ultratech UT1270 Alarm Battery

The Ultratech UT1270 is a 12V 7.5Ah sealed lead-acid battery built with AGM technology for maintenance-free operation. It serves as a direct replacement for compatible APC Back-UPS and Smart-UPS units requiring a T2 terminal connection.

Sustained Backup Performance

Under continuous discharge the AGM chemistry delivers stable voltage output across the rated 7.5Ah capacity. The design supports the expected 4 to 7 year service life in float standby applications typical of security and UPS systems.

Thermal and Power Characteristics

Sealed construction prevents electrolyte leakage and allows operation in any orientation without gas venting under normal charge rates. Internal resistance remains low during routine float charging, minimising self-heating and standby power loss.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 12V 7.5Ah battery draw while the UPS runs all day?

The sealed AGM cell is maintenance-free and produces no audible noise or measurable heat during continuous float charging in a UPS.

Which terminal type must my UPS already have for the UT1270 to connect?

The battery uses T2 terminals, so the UPS must accept T2 faston tabs for a direct fit.

Will this replacement work in an older APC Back-UPS 300 that I still use?

Yes, the UT1270 is listed as compatible with the APC Back-UPS 300 and many other legacy APC models.
