Safety Breakaways for ID Badges

These Baumgartens lanyards are sold as a box of twelve black units, each measuring thirty-five inches. They are designed for schools, offices and events where staff or visitors need a visible credential holder that releases instantly under tension.

Behaviour Under Daily Wear

The flat woven nylon resists fraying during repeated attachment and removal of badge reels or card holders. The plastic safety snap separates cleanly when pulled and can be reconnected with a single press, so the lanyard returns to service without tools or replacement parts.

Materials and Everyday Handling

A metal hook fastener secures the badge end while the nylon body remains lightweight against clothing. No batteries, electronics or moving mechanisms are present, so there is no heat, noise or power draw to consider during normal use.

Questions about this item

Will the flat woven nylon material cause skin irritation or heat buildup during all-day wear?

The flat woven nylon construction is lightweight and breathable, designed for comfortable extended use without significant heat retention against the skin.

What type of ID badge attachment or holder is required to use the metal hook fastener on these lanyards?

The metal hook fastener requires an ID badge or holder with a standard slot, hole, or loop for the hook to clip onto securely.

Can the plastic safety breakaway snap withstand repeated tension cycles if used with heavier legacy badge reels or multiple keys?

The breakaway snap is designed to release under tension and reattach with a single snap, but frequent heavy loads may accelerate wear on the plastic mechanism.
