USB–Micro USB cable with integrated power switch
The cable carries power from a USB-A source to a Micro USB device and includes a 501 button that lets you cut power without unplugging. It is intended for single-board computers such as the Raspberry Pi and similar low-power boards that use Micro USB for supply.
On-board switch removes the need to pull the plug
The 501 button breaks the supply line so the board can be rebooted or shut down cleanly while the power adapter stays connected. This reduces wear on the Micro USB port and avoids the hassle of hunting for a wall socket each time you cycle power.
Plug both ends and press the button to start
The Micro USB connector fits the board’s power input and the USB-A end fits any 5 V charger or hub. The supplier notes the source should deliver at least 5 V and 700 mA, and that attached peripherals or overclocking increase the draw. The cord is rated for 3 A, so it handles the extra load without a separate inline fuse.

Questions about this item
Will the on/off switch mechanism on this cable wear out over time?
The cable uses a 501 button switch rated for repeated toggling; no periodic replacement is required under normal use.
What limits how long I can run a Raspberry Pi on this cable without issues?
The 3 A current rating is the ceiling; sustained loads above that will cause voltage drop or shutdown.
Does the cable or its switch get warm when powering a Pi and peripherals all day?
At loads up to 3 A the conductors and switch stay cool; only sustained draws near the limit produce noticeable warmth.
