Scale and subject

This 1/18 scale diecast model reproduces the Ferrari 499P Modificata wearing race number 24 and Italian flag stripes. It is an officially licensed collectible aimed at adult hobbyists and display enthusiasts who value accurate motorsport detail. The model arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging.

Materials and moving parts

The body combines diecast metal with plastic components to achieve detailed interior and exterior surfaces. Real rubber tyres are fitted, while the doors open and the front wheels steer for posing options. No power source or electronic features are present, so the piece remains silent and inert on the shelf.

Presentation and handling

The sealed box protects the model during storage and simplifies gifting or archival keeping. Opening the doors or turning the wheels is the only interaction required; no assembly, software or accessories are included. Collectors seeking a larger scale or additional livery variants will need a different release.

Questions about this item

How do I install the model on a display shelf without damaging the steerable front wheels?

Place the model gently on its real rubber tyres so the steerable front wheels rest freely; avoid pressing down on the steering linkage or turning the wheels while the car is stationary.

What maintenance will the opening doors and steerable wheels need over time?

Occasionally dust the door hinges and steering pivots with a soft brush; a tiny drop of light oil on each pivot keeps the doors swinging and the wheels turning smoothly.

At what point does the 11.25-inch length become a limitation for standard display cases?

The model measures 11.25 inches long, so any case with an internal depth below that figure will not fit the car without angling it.
