120 mm PWM case fan for desktop cooling

The be quiet! Pure Wings 3 BL105 is a single 120 mm case fan designed for desktop PCs that need reliable airflow. Its 4-pin PWM connector allows the motherboard to control speed automatically based on temperature. The rifle bearing is rated for 80000 operating hours. Black non-LED blades suit builds that prefer a clean look.

Sustained airflow on radiators and dense meshes

The frame outlet is shaped to reduce air leaks, which helps maintain static pressure when the fan pushes through radiator fins or restrictive filters. Seven optimised blades keep turbulence low while delivering 45 to 50 CFM at the 1600 RPM ceiling. Speed scales smoothly from a very low minimum up to the maximum without sudden jumps.

25.5 dBA at full speed with modest power draw

At the top 1600 RPM setting noise measures 25.5 dBA, a level that stays unobtrusive in typical rooms. The 4-pin PWM interface draws only the current needed for the requested speed, so power consumption remains low during idle or light loads. Rifle bearing lubrication is sealed for the rated lifetime.

Questions about this item

How loud is the 120 mm Pure Wings 3 at its 1600 RPM top speed?

The fan reaches 25.5 dBA at maximum RPM, and the rifle bearing is rated for 80000 hours of continuous operation.

Does the 4-pin PWM connector require a specific motherboard header to run?

It plugs into any standard 4-pin PWM fan header; the motherboard then controls speed automatically via pulse-width modulation.

Will the 120 mm frame and 7-blade design fit my older case’s rear exhaust mount?

Yes, the 120 mm square frame matches the standard mounting holes found on virtually all ATX and micro-ATX chassis from the last decade.
