Self-Adhesive Containment Film 24in x 200ft

This 6 mil polyethylene film provides a self-adhesive barrier for surface protection during abatement and remediation projects. It adheres directly to floors, walls, ceilings and a range of building materials including cement, glass, wood and ceramic tile. The roll covers 400 sq ft of coverage area for containment setups.

Single-Layer Application and Handling

The clear film unrolls to 200 ft length by 24 in width for continuous coverage without seams. Adhesive backing eliminates the need for separate tape or fasteners on compatible surfaces. Material is not fire-resistant or slip-resistant and is not recyclable after use.

Sustained Containment Performance

Under prolonged project conditions the film maintains adhesion across listed surface types including vinyl tile and corkboard. The 6 mil thickness resists tearing during extended containment periods in remediation environments. No fire or slip ratings apply for long-term deployment scenarios.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 24-inch wide self-adhesive film without trapping air bubbles?

Unroll the 6 mil polyethylene film slowly, press from the centre outward with a squeegee or broad knife to expel air, and keep the adhesive side clean; the most common error is pulling the roll too fast, which stretches the film and leaves bubbles.

Will the adhesive degrade on concrete or vinyl tile if the containment stays up for weeks?

The adhesive-backed polyethylene is designed for abatement and remediation containments on cement, vinyl tile, wood and other listed surfaces; it is not rated for UV exposure, so replace the film if the job extends beyond the project schedule or if edges begin to lift.

At what point does the 6 mil thickness tear when the containment is under negative pressure?

The 6 mil polyethylene film provides 400 sq ft of coverage; under sustained negative pressure the first limit is mechanical puncture or seam failure rather than a specific pressure rating, so inspect seams and high-stress corners daily and patch any tears immediately.
