430 GPH Auto Shut-Off Fountain Pump

The Beckett M400AS-M430AS is a submersible pump rated at 430 gallons per hour with a maximum lift of 8 ft. It delivers 400 GPH at a height of 1 ft. A built-in sensor detects low water levels and automatically shuts off the pump to preserve its life. The unit operates on 120V, 60Hz power and draws 33 watts.

Suited for large fountains and small ponds

This pump is designed for most large indoor and outdoor fountains and for small ponds. It also serves fish tanks, hydroponics, aquaponics, statuary and aquariums. Buyers who need a higher flow rate or greater lift than the stated 430 GPH and 8 ft. should look at other models. The transparent colour and 16 ft. cord length suit installations where the power source is within that distance.

Check tubing and voltage before ordering

The pump connects to 1/2" ID tubing using the included adapters. Verify that your fountain or pond plumbing matches this tubing size. Confirm the installation site provides a 120V, 60Hz electrical supply and that the 16 ft. cord reaches a suitable outlet. The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What tubing size do I need to connect the 1/2" ID outlet on this pump?

Use 1/2" inner-diameter tubing; the box includes adapters for that size.

Will the auto shut-off still protect the motor if I run the pump at the 400 GPH / 1 ft setting instead of the 430 GPH maximum?

Yes, the low-water sensor works at any flow setting the adjustable valve allows.

How can I verify the shut-off sensor is functioning after I install the pump?

Lower the water until the sensor is exposed; the pump should stop within seconds.
