Antique Chiming Wall Clock
The Bedford Clock Collection BED-9014 is a 27.5" wall clock finished in Padauk oak with decorative carved accents. It features a metal dial displaying Roman numerals behind decorative glass and includes a metal pendulum. This piece suits traditional interiors where an audible time signal is desired.
Replaces Silent Quartz Clocks
The clock adds harmonic chimes that play on the hour with a choice of Westminster, Whittington or strike-only melodies. Adjustable volume control and a chime shut-off option let you tailor the sound level. The jump is worthwhile for rooms that benefit from a clear hourly signal without relying on a smartphone.
Sustained Operation on Battery Power
Two AA batteries drive the chime mechanism and two further AA batteries power the timekeeping movement, all sold separately. A push-button night shut-off silences the chimes during sleeping hours while the movement continues running. The dual-battery design keeps the chime volume consistent over long periods without winding.

Questions about this item
What size fixing supports a 27.5 inch wall clock?
The clock measures 27.5 inches high, so choose a wall anchor rated for a heavy decorative clock and drive it into a stud or solid masonry.
Which step is often missed when setting up the harmonic chimes?
Insert two AA batteries for the clock movement and two more AA batteries for the chime module, then select a melody and set the volume before hanging.
How often will the four AA batteries need replacing?
Typical alkaline AA cells last about twelve months in both the clock and chime circuits; replace all four at the same time when the chime weakens or time drifts.
