Suits owners restoring factory runtime on listed

Buyers needing a fresh power source for the exact models above will find correct voltage and connector alignment. Users with EliteBook G3, G5 or later G6 chassis should look elsewhere because the pinout and physical keying differ. Anyone requiring extended-capacity packs beyond 51Wh must choose a different SKU.

Delivers 51 watt-hours at 11.55 volts for typical

The capacity supports several hours of office applications, web browsing and video playback on a full charge. Heavier tasks such as sustained rendering, virtualisation or discrete GPU loads will deplete the pack more quickly. Runtime scales with screen brightness, wireless activity and thermal profile of the specific laptop configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the TA03XL battery fit my EliteBook 840 G4 without any extra hardware?

The TA03XL is a direct replacement for the original HSTNN-IB7L battery and slides into the existing battery bay of compatible EliteBook 745, 755, 840, 848, 850 G4 and ZBook 14u, 15u models. No additional cables, brackets or adapters are required.

Can I keep using my existing 11.55 V charger with this 51 Wh battery?

Yes. The battery operates at the same 11.55 V as the original, so your current HP charger will charge it normally. The 51 Wh capacity simply provides more runtime per charge.

How can I confirm the new battery is recognised and charging correctly after installation?

Power on the laptop and open the BIOS or HP Support Assistant; the battery should appear as TA03XL or HSTNN-IB7L with a voltage reading near 11.55 V and a capacity close to 51 Wh, and the charging LED should indicate normal charging.
