Universal 65 W laptop charger

This 65 W universal AC adapter replaces 45 W and 65 W proprietary chargers for a wide range of notebooks and ultrabooks. It accepts 100 V to 240 V input at 50 Hz to 60 Hz and delivers selectable DC output at 18.5 V, 19 V, 19.5 V or 20 V up to 65 W. Built-in overload and over-voltage protection helps safeguard the connected device.

Connector fit and voltage selection

The adapter uses interchangeable proprietary tips such as 4.8 mm by 1.7 mm, 5.5 mm by 2.5 mm and 5.0 mm by 3.0 mm to match specific laptop models. Each tip is tied to a fixed output voltage and current, so the charger cannot be used with laptops that require a different connector size or a voltage outside the four preset levels. Buyers who need USB-C Power Delivery or a tip not listed cannot use this unit.

Maximum 65 W output power

The single specification that decides suitability is the 65 W maximum output. Laptops whose original adapter is rated above 65 W will not receive enough power to charge under load or may not charge at all. Systems requiring 65 W or less from a supported tip will operate normally.
