Connects a USB-C source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display at up to 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz over a 2.0 m cable
This Belkin cable connects a USB-C source to a DisplayPort 1.4 display using a single 2.0 metre male-to-male link. It carries 32.40 Gbps bandwidth and supports resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz with HBR3, DSC and HDCP 2.2. The plug-and-play design requires no extra drivers or power.
Builders whose USB-C port delivers DisplayPort Alt Mode can drive high-refresh 4K or 8K screens without adapters. Buyers whose laptops lack video-out over USB-C, or who need longer runs than 2.0 metres, cannot use this cable.
The cable implements DisplayPort 1.4 at full HBR3 speed, enabling 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz with DSC compression. Backward compatibility with DisplayPort 1.2 is included. If your display or host tops out at a lower version, the link will negotiate down automatically.

Yes, the USB-C source must implement DisplayPort Alt Mode; the cable itself is a passive 2.0 m link carrying the DP 1.4 signal from that port to the display.
The cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2, so it will negotiate the lower HBR2 rate automatically while keeping the same plug-and-play operation.
Open your OS display settings or GPU control panel and verify the active resolution and refresh rate match 8K@60 Hz or 4K@144 Hz; the cable supports HBR3 and DSC to enable those modes.
