A cordless mouse mover that keeps your computer awake without USB or software, running months on one AA battery
The Belkin cordless mouse jiggler keeps a computer awake by simulating randomised cursor movement through patented optical technology. It requires no USB connection, no software installation and no Bluetooth pairing, so IT monitoring tools cannot detect its presence. A single AA battery powers the unit for months and an on/off switch provides instant control. The device is ambidextrous and ready to use straight from the box.
Because the jiggler runs entirely from its own AA cell, it adds zero load to the computer’s power supply and produces no audible fan or coil noise. The optical mechanism moves the pointer without any moving parts that could generate vibration or heat. There is no cable to route, so the workspace stays free of clutter and the host system’s thermal profile remains unchanged.
The white enclosure measures 4.699 by 8.6106 by 8.7122 centimetres and weighs 0.132 kilograms, small enough to slide into a laptop bag alongside a notebook. Its flat profile sits steadily on a desk or directly on a MacBook or Windows trackpad without blocking adjacent ports. Build quality is backed by a one-year manufacturer warranty and US-based support, though buyers who need a wired USB alternative or multi-device switching will not find those features here.

Insert one AA battery, place the unit on a flat surface beside your trackpad or mouse, then slide the ON/OFF switch to ON; the step people miss is confirming the green LED blinks once to show the optical sensor is active before walking away.
Replace the single AA battery when the LED stops blinking or movement becomes erratic; the manufacturer states the battery lasts months under normal use.
Battery depletion is the first limit; after months of constant use the AA cell runs down and the optical simulator stops moving the cursor until a fresh battery is fitted.
