Cable design and purpose

This Belkin Samsung Gala cable connects USB-C devices with a 3 ft orange cord that supports up to 240 W power delivery and 480 Mbps data transfer. The 90-degree elbow connector keeps the cable clear of the hand during landscape gaming or video calls. A foldable stand hidden in the charging head props the phone in portrait or landscape for hands-free viewing. An integrated quad-lock swivel belt clip adds a carrying option.

Built-in stand and charging limits

The foldable stand works best when the cable stays at the top in landscape mode; stability drops if the cable hangs below. The connector fits cases up to 0.08 inches thick with a port opening of at least 0.45 inches, so thicker protective cases may not seat properly. Full 240 W charging only occurs with a charger and device that both support that rating; many standard adapters deliver less power. Data runs at USB 2.0 480 Mbps, slower than newer USB 3.x cables for large files.

Suited for gamers and desk viewers.

Users who charge while gaming or want a compact stand for video calls gain the most from the angled connector and hidden kickstand. Buyers who need faster than 480 Mbps transfers or regularly use thick rugged cases should look at alternatives. The cable also requires a high-wattage charger to reach its peak charging speed, so owners of lower-power adapters will not see the maximum rate.

Questions about this item

Does the 90-degree connector or the built-in stand mechanism need replacement after repeated folding?

The foldable stand is integrated into the charging head; repeated opening by following the arrow direction may loosen the hinge over time, but no user-serviceable parts are specified.

What limits 240 W delivery during a long charging session?

The cable supports up to 240 W PD with its E-Marker chip, yet actual power depends on the charger and device; many standard adapters will not supply the full 240 W.

How warm does the 8 AWG cable get when running at high wattage all day?

The 8 AWG conductors handle high current, but heat rises with sustained load; the supplier notes only that charging speed relies on a compatible 240 W adapter, not on cable temperature.
