What this cable delivers

Two USB-C to USB-C cables each measure 6.6ft and carry up to 40W of power with USB 2.0 data at 480Mbps. An E-marker chip enables Power Delivery negotiation with 30W, 45W, 60W, 65W, 96W or 100W chargers. Nylon braiding and aluminum alloy shells survive 20000 bend cycles. A sticky buckle keeps the length tidy on a desk.

Who it suits and who it does not

The pair suits households that charge a phone, tablet and laptop from the same USB-C wall adapter and want a spare cable in each room. Buyers who need 10Gbps or 20Gbps file transfers should look at a higher-speed cable. Anyone requiring Thunderbolt video or 240W charging will not get those features here.

What the bundled items change

The 2-pack means one cable can stay at a desk while the other travels in a bag. The included buckle reduces clutter without a separate organizer. The braided jacket and aluminum ends add durability that a plain plastic cable lacks. No software or drivers are required — the cables work immediately with any USB-C port.

Questions about this item

What USB-C power adapter wattage do I need to reach the cable's 40W maximum?

Use a USB-C PD charger rated at 45W, 60W, 65W, 96W or 100W to deliver the full 40W through the E-marker chip.

Will the 480Mbps USB 2.0 data rate slow down file transfers on my MacBook Pro 2021?

Yes, large files will move at USB 2.0 speed rather than Thunderbolt or USB 3 speeds because the cable only supports 480Mbps.

How can I verify the cable is negotiating the correct power level after plugging it in?

Check the device's battery settings or system report to confirm it shows a charge rate up to 40W (20V/2A) while connected.
