Magnetic self-winding USB-C cable

The Belkin Samsung Gala cable uses embedded magnets to coil itself into a tidy loop after use. It targets drivers and desk workers who want a 3.3 ft USB-C to USB-C lead that stays organised in a car console or on a workstation without manual winding.

Magnetic coil and 60 W Power Delivery

The self-organising coil lets you pull only the length you need, so excess cord never tangles with a gear shifter or cup holder. The cable supports 60 W Power Delivery at 20 V and 3 A, and the supplier states it can bring compatible phones to 50 % charge in 30 minutes.

Nylon braid and USB 2.0 data

A military-grade nylon braid is rated for over 20,000 bends, aiming to survive daily coiling and uncoiling. The connectors are USB 2.0, limiting data transfer to 480 Mbps, which is adequate for photo sync and office files but not for high-speed drives.

Questions about this item

How long will the nylon-braided cable last before it frays?

The braid is rated for 20,000-plus bends, so everyday coiling and uncoiling should not cause premature wear.

What limits the cable when I charge a laptop at 60W for hours?

The 3-amp current ceiling and USB 2.0 conductors cap sustained delivery at 60W, so prolonged high-wattage use stays within that boundary.

Does the magnetic coil get warm or noisy during all-day charging?

The cable has no active electronics or fan, so it runs silent and only reaches normal warm temperatures at 60W load.
