Extra-long USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable for distant devices

This 15 ft Belkin cable connects USB-A hosts to USB-C devices across a room. It suits sofa charging, bed-side use, car installations or dash-cam wiring where a short lead cannot reach. The orange braided jacket makes it easy to spot in cluttered spaces.

Passive 10 Gbps link with 3 A charge support

The integrated USB 3.2 Gen 2 controller delivers up to 10 Gbps data throughput, though actual speed may drop over the full length. It handles up to 3 A at 5 V for 15 W charging; the supplier notes that resistance over 15 ft reduces real-world power delivery, which is normal for long passive cables.

Replaces short factory cables when distance matters

Swap this in when the stock 1 m lead forces you to sit beside the outlet or hub. The jump is worth it for stationary gear — tablets, controllers, dash cams or external SSDs — that stay plugged in far from the port. It is not for users who need maximum bus-powered SSD throughput or full 40 W USB-PD negotiated charging.

Questions about this item

How do I plug in the USB-A end so the cable reaches 15 ft without strain?

Insert the USB-A connector fully into the host port; the 15 ft length and double braided layer let you route the cable along walls or furniture without pulling on the reinforced strain-relief points.

When should I replace this cable if the braided jacket frays?

Inspect the double braided layer and aluminium-alloy shell regularly; if fibres expose the inner conductors or the strain-relief collars crack, swap the cable to keep 10 Gbps transfers reliable.

At what point does voltage drop limit 3 A charging on this 15 ft run?

The 15 ft length adds resistance that reduces delivered current below the theoretical 3 A; expect slower charging on power-hungry devices and use a shorter cable when full 3 A is required.
