HDMI-to-AHD/TVI converter for 4K surveillance
The BENESTON ACT-ER03HR-4K converts an HDMI source into AHD or TVI signals for coaxial transmission. It accepts HDMI 1.4 input up to 3840x2160 and provides an HDMI loop-out at the same resolution. A 12 V power adapter is included for continuous operation.
Installers linking modern 4K sources to legacy
This unit suits security integrators who need to feed 1080p or 720p analogue HD recorders from 4K HDMI devices such as media players or PCs. It does not suit users who require IP-stream encoding, fibre extension, or multi-channel capture from a single box.
HDMI 1.4 input with 3840x2160 maximum resolution
The converter supports HDMI 1.4 and HDCP, automatically reads EDID data, and offers selectable output formats including 2160p, 1080p, 720p, NTSC and PAL. Coaxial runs up to 500 metres are possible with suitable cable and transmitters.

Questions about this item
How do I hook up the BENESTON ACT-ER03HR-4K and what step do people skip?
Connect the HDMI source to the input, run coaxial or twisted-pair cable from the AHD/TVI output to the DVR or NVR, attach the included DC 12 V power adapter, then use the resolution switch to select 4K, 1080p or 720p; the step often missed is powering the unit before the HDMI handshake completes.
What maintenance or replacement will this converter need later?
The device has no moving parts or user-serviceable components; only the external 12 V power adapter may require replacement if it fails after extended 24/7 operation.
What limit appears first during continuous 4K use?
HDMI 1.4 caps the 3840×2160 signal, so sustained 4K output is restricted to the refresh rate that version allows.
