  • California Prop 65 warning discloses chemical exposure risk
  • Genuine Bennett Marine part ensures system compatibility
  • Ready to connect without extra fabrication

What this extension does

This Bennett Trim Tabs BOLT actuator wire harness extension adds 20 feet of reach to the factory wiring. It lets you route the actuator cable to a helm station or control box that sits farther from the transom than the stock lead allows. The part is new and intended for BOLT system installations only.

Capacity and headroom

The 20-foot length covers most runabout and centre-console layouts where the helm is aft of the midship point. On larger cruisers or houseboats the same run can exceed the extension, leaving the actuator short of the controller. The harness carries the BOLT actuator signal without additional amplification.

The deciding specification

Compatibility is limited to Bennett BOLT actuators; the connector pin-out and voltage are specific to that line. Using the extension with non-BOLT trim-tab systems or other marine actuators will not work. Verify your actuator model before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will the 20' BOLT actuator wire harness extension reach from my existing helm controls to the transom-mounted actuators?

The 20-foot length is designed to bridge the distance between helm controls and transom-mounted BOLT actuators on many boat layouts.

How can I verify the BOLT actuator wire harness extension is functioning correctly after installation?

Operate the trim tab controls through the full range; both tabs should move smoothly and the indicator lights should respond without delay.

Does the BOLT actuator wire harness extension package include the actuators themselves or only the extension cable?

The package contains the 20-foot extension harness only; BOLT actuators and the main control unit are sold separately.
