BenQ 5J.J4J05.001 replacement lamp

This BenQ 5J.J4J05.001 module is a new 280W projector lamp built with an Osram P-VIP bulb inside a complete housing. It is designed for owners of compatible BenQ projectors who need a direct replacement to restore brightness and colour accuracy. The unit arrives fully assembled so no separate bulb handling is required. Buyers who want a bare bulb without the housing cannot use this product.

Installation is a single-module swap

Because the bulb and housing come pre-assembled, installation consists of removing the old lamp module and inserting this one until it seats firmly. The most common issue is forgetting to reset the projector’s lamp-hour counter after fitting the new unit, which leaves the replacement timer inaccurate. Another frequent error is touching the glass envelope with bare fingers, which can create hot spots and shorten the lamp’s life.

Steady output for thousands of hours

In normal mode the lamp is rated for 2,000 hours and in economy mode for 3,000 hours, so brightness remains consistent across long presentations or film sessions. The Osram P-VIP bulb maintains stable voltage and ignition characteristics throughout that span, avoiding the rapid dimming seen in uncertified alternatives. Each unit is tested to ISO 9001 standards for beam performance, voltage and run-time before it ships. Users who run the projector continuously without economy mode will reach the lower hour figure sooner.
