Compatible projector model

This replacement lamp is built for the Vivitek D968U projector. It arrives as a complete housing assembly with an original OEM bulb inside. The unit is designed for owners who need a direct, ready-to-install replacement when the existing lamp reaches end of life.

Sustained brightness and life

The OEM bulb is engineered to meet the exact specifications of the projector manufacturer. BulbAmerica sources bulbs directly from OEM bulb manufacturers to ensure consistent brightness and longevity over extended use. This approach avoids the variability often seen with generic alternatives.

Upgrade from generic lamps

The assembly replaces third-party compatible lamps that may use non-OEM bulbs. The jump is worth it when image stability and rated lamp life are critical for presentations or home cinema. It is not suited for users who need a bare bulb without the housing.

Questions about this item

Does the lamp housing add any fan noise or heat when the Vivitek D968U runs continuously?

The assembly uses the original OEM bulb, so it matches the projector's designed thermal output and acoustic profile without extra noise or heat.

What must already be installed for this replacement to work?

A Vivitek D968U projector is required; the lamp is a direct drop-in module with no additional parts or adapters needed.

Will the 180-day coverage remain valid if I keep using the same ceiling mount and cables from my old setup?

Yes, warranty protection is unaffected by existing mounting hardware or cables as long as the lamp is installed correctly in the D968U.
