Genuine replacement DMD chip

This BenQ DMD/DLP chip restores image quality to compatible business projectors including the MP525, MP575, MP624C, MP626 and MP670. It is intended for technicians or owners repairing a projector that shows dead pixels or a degraded picture. Buyers needing a lamp module or a complete optical engine will not find those parts here.

Tested for clear projection

Each unit is tested at least three times to confirm a clear image with no dead pixels before it ships. The supplier notes that photos are illustrative and the actual chip may show cosmetic marks or scratches in non-critical areas. No thermal, noise or power-draw data is provided for this component.

Sixty-day coverage included

A 60-day warranty covers the chip against early failure after installation. No software, cables, mounting hardware or alignment tools are bundled with the part. Installers should source any required service manuals or specialised tools separately.

Questions about this item

How is the DMD chip installed in a BenQ MP525 projector, and what step is often missed?

The chip seats on the optical block and connects via a flat flex cable; the step often missed is re-aligning the prism assembly before locking the cover screws.

What maintenance or replacement will the DMD chip in an MP626 projector need over time?

The chip itself is solid-state and not user-serviceable; later maintenance is limited to cleaning the colour wheel and air filters to prevent dust buildup on the imager surface.

What limit appears first when the DMD chip runs continuously in an MP670 projector?

Sustained operation is limited by the projector's thermal design; the chip's mirror array stays stable, but the surrounding optics and lamp housing reach their temperature ceiling first.
