24 inch 1080p 100Hz IPS monitor

This BenQ GW2490T is a 24 inch Full HD IPS display with a 100 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time. It covers 99 percent sRGB at 250 nits brightness with a 1300:1 native contrast ratio. The panel delivers 16.7 million colours across 178 degree viewing angles. Height adjustment and VESA 100 x 100 mounting support ergonomic setups.

Suits office work and casual gaming

The 100 Hz refresh rate and IPS panel suit general productivity, video playback and entry-level gaming. Buyers who want higher refresh rates for competitive play or wider colour gamuts for professional grading should look elsewhere. The monitor includes built-in speakers and Eye-careU features for comfort. It lacks Thunderbolt connectivity and HDR certification.

Native 1300:1 contrast ratio

The 1300:1 native contrast ratio is the key specification that separates this IPS panel from lower-contrast alternatives. It determines black-level depth in dark rooms and shadow detail in games or video. If deeper blacks are a priority, this figure is the deciding factor.

Does the height-adjustable stand on the 24" GW2490T need tools to assemble?

The stand clicks onto the monitor without tools; the step people miss is locking the quick-release latch fully before lifting the display.
