Multi-mode thermometer for all ages

The Berrcom JXB-178 measures forehead, room and object temperatures in a single device. It is designed for use with adults, infants, children and elders. The non-contact infrared sensor delivers a reading in one second without physical contact. A white silicone body houses the digital display and simple controls.

Check power and measurement habits before ordering

The unit requires two AA batteries which are not included in the package. Verify that you can supply them before first use. Forehead readings must be taken at a distance of three centimetres after wiping away sweat or grease. The device is intended for indoor use only and operates up to one hundred and nine point two degrees Fahrenheit.

Sustained use with memory and auto-off

The thermometer stores the latest thirty-two readings for trend tracking over time. An automatic shut-off activates after thirty seconds of inactivity to preserve battery life during repeated checks. A three-colour backlight and fever alarm indicate normal, elevated or high temperatures in body mode. Mute and buzzer settings let you silence the alert for sleeping patients.
