Questions about this item

What workpiece thickness can the 4 in clamping capacity accommodate?

The clamp opens to a full 4 in, so any piece up to that thickness fits between the jaws.

Will the spatter-resistant spindle finish survive contact with my older MIG welder?

Yes, the high-carbon spindle is coated to resist weld spatter from typical MIG or stick processes.

How do I confirm the 550 lb clamping force is being applied?

Tighten the sliding T-handle until the profiled rail locks; the tempered forged handle gives firm tactile feedback at full pressure.
