Sliding-arm bar clamp

This Bessey GS16K is a sliding-arm bar clamp built for industrial clamping tasks. It uses a profiled steel rail and a sliding T-handle to apply pressure quickly across the workpiece. The swivel jaw pad helps distribute force evenly on uneven surfaces.

Woodworkers and metalworkers needing strong

The 550 lb clamping force suits glue-ups, welding fixtures and assembly work where high pressure is required. Users who need a deeper throat than 3-1/8 in or a longer reach than 6 in should consider other clamp styles.

550 lb clamping force

The maximum clamping force of 550 lb is the key figure that determines whether this clamp can hold your specific joint or fixture securely. Match this rating to the pressure your application demands before purchase.

Questions about this item

What workpiece thickness does the 6 in clamping capacity handle?

The clamp accepts stock up to six inches thick, so any piece thinner than that fits within the jaws.

Will the 550 lb clamping force damage softer woods I already use?

The swivel jaw pad distributes pressure evenly, letting you tighten firmly without marring pine, cedar or other soft species.

How do I confirm the sliding mechanism is engaging correctly after setup?

Slide the arm along the profiled rail; it should lock at each position without play and the spindle should turn smoothly under load.
