Powered bookshelf speakers with Bluetooth 5.0

The BESTISAN SR80 are 2.0 channel powered bookshelf speakers rated at 50 watts total. Each cabinet houses a 3-inch dynamic woofer and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter inside a wooden enclosure. Front-panel knobs control volume, bass, treble and input selection. Connections include Bluetooth 5.0, RCA line-in and a 2.5 mm auxiliary jack. A front headphone port enables private listening.

Desktop users wanting simple stereo

These speakers suit listeners who need compact stereo sound for a desk, turntable or TV and want hands-on bass and treble adjustment. They are not for buyers who require a separate subwoofer output, digital optical or HDMI inputs, or a remote control for volume changes. The 2.0 configuration also means no centre channel for surround decoding.

50 watt total power with 3-inch woofer and silk

The single specification that decides fit is the 50 watt total output driven by a 3-inch woofer and 1-inch silk dome tweeter. This combination sets the maximum loudness and bass extension available in a small wooden cabinet. If your room or listening distance demands higher output or deeper low frequencies, a larger system will be necessary.

Questions about this item

How much desk depth do the 7.9-inch deep cabinets need?

Each speaker measures 7.9 inches deep, 5.0 inches wide and 4.4 inches high, so allow at least that depth plus a little clearance for rear RCA cables and the bass port.

Which knob switches between Bluetooth and the RCA input?

The volume knob also powers the unit on and off and toggles between Bluetooth 5.0 and AUX in mode; turn it until the source you want is active.

What cable do I replace if the included 2.5 mm-to-RCA lead fails?

A standard 2.5 mm stereo plug to dual RCA male cable will restore the wired connection to a turntable, PC or TV.
