90 W AC Adapter for Surface Pro 4-8

This 90 W AC adapter supplies 15 V at 6 A for Microsoft Surface Pro 4 through 8 and compatible dock stations. It replaces the original model 1661 and 1749 power supply units. The unit is new and built to match or exceed OEM specifications. It is not suitable for Surface Pro 3 devices.

15 V 6 A Output Specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 15 V 6 A output delivering 90 W. The adapter accepts 100-240 V input at 50-60 Hz for worldwide use. Buyers must confirm the plug size and voltage match their device before purchase. Using an incorrect voltage can damage the laptop.

UL Certified Protection Under Load

The adapter carries UL certification authorised by OSHA and includes V-0 grade flame-retardant casing. Built-in OVP, OCP and SCP protections guard against over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit conditions during sustained operation. These safeguards maintain stable output during extended charging sessions. The unit is tested for continuous reliability.

Questions about this item

What does the 90 W rating mean for my Surface when I plug this adapter in?

It supplies up to 90 W at 15 V and 6 A, matching the original charger so the laptop can charge at full speed while you work.

What does the 100-240 V 50-60 Hz input range cover in practice?

It accepts mains voltage worldwide from 100 V to 240 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, so the same adapter works at home or abroad without a voltage converter.
