Compact 2.4 GHz WiFi bridge for wired devices

The BFKK mini bridge adds wireless connectivity to equipment that only has an RJ45 port. It suits scales, DVRs, IP cameras, medical gear, IoT nodes, printers, robots and similar network devices needing a simple WiFi link.

Plugs into Ethernet and draws 5–15 V from USB

A single combo cable carries both power and data, so the unit can share a USB port or DC jack on the host device. It supports AP mode for creating a hotspot and bridge mode for converting WiFi to wired Ethernet, handling up to 20 concurrent clients.

Replaces a long cable run

The jump is worth it when a device sits 50–60 metres from the router with clear line of sight and 300 Mbps throughput is sufficient. It does not suit builds that need 5 GHz band, higher bandwidth or PoE powering.

Questions about this item

How far can the 300 Mbps 802.11b/g/n link reach before the signal drops?

Up to 60 metres in clear line of sight for light data, and under 50 metres when streaming video.

Does the adapter stay cool and quiet when powered continuously from a 5 V USB port?

It draws less than 2 W from DC 5–15 V sources — USB, 2.0 mm plug or 2.5 mm jack — so heat and noise are negligible.

Which devices need an Ethernet port to work with this bridge?

Any network device with an RJ45 socket — DVRs, IP cameras, printers, scales, IoT gear, PS3, robots or vending machines — plugs straight in.
