Android 8.1 vertical head unit

This 2-DIN radio runs Android 8.1 on a quad-core CPU with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. The 9.7-inch capacitive touchscreen shows 1024 by 600 resolution in a portrait layout. It powers from a 12 V vehicle system with an operating range of 10.8 to 14.5 V and a 10 A maximum draw.

Drivers who want portrait apps and basic navigation

The vertical screen suits navigation maps and media lists that benefit from extra height. Buyers needing higher resolution, more RAM for multitasking, or a newer Android version should look elsewhere. The single-DIN chassis behind the panel limits installation to dash openings that accept that depth.

Built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB media support

The rear-mounted Wi-Fi module connects to hotspots for online maps, streaming, and app downloads from the Play Store. A USB port reads flash drives up to 16 GB for offline music and video playback. Pre-loaded browsers and office viewers let you open documents without extra software.
