What this cable is and who it serves

This BFKK fibre optic cable is a 23ft MPO-to-MPO patch cord with 12 cores of OM3 multi-mode glass. It is built for technicians who connect QSFP+ or QSFP28 transceivers in GPON and EPON networks and need a low-smoke, zero-halogen jacket for indoor safety compliance.

The spec that decides fit

The cable uses a Type B polarity map across its 12 fibres, which is the single detail that determines whether the link will carry traffic correctly between matched transceivers.

Install ease and common pitfalls

The push-pull MPO connectors seat quickly in dense patch panels, but the rigid LSZH jacket resists tight bends so installers must respect the cable's natural curve. Misidentifying the polarity as Type A or Type C is the frequent error that leaves a link dark.

Questions about this item

How far will the 23 ft run reach inside a rack?

The 23 ft length spans typical rack-to-rack or row-to-row distances in a data-centre aisle without needing extra slack.

What does the OM3 Type B polarity mean for my QSFP+ or QSFP28 ports?

Type B wiring flips the fibre positions end-to-end so transmit and receive lanes align correctly for 12-fibre MPO transceivers.

Will the LSZH aqua jacket fit through standard cable trays?

The LSZH jacket meets low-smoke, zero-halogen requirements and the aqua colour identifies OM3 multi-mode in dense tray installations.
