8-Port IP KVM with 17-Inch LCD

This 1U rack-mount console integrates a 17-inch LCD, keyboard and touchpad with an 8-port KVM switch that provides both local and IP-based remote access. It is built for administrators who need to manage up to eight servers from a single rack location or over a LAN, WAN or Internet connection.

Resolution headroom and server count

The integrated display supports video resolutions up to 1280 x 1024, which is sufficient for BIOS-level interaction, boot-process monitoring and text-heavy server consoles. The switch controls eight servers directly and can be cascaded to reach 64 computers, although cascaded units are limited to local control only.

IP access method and security

Remote sessions require the supplied client software for stable operation and support SSH, SSL and RADIUS authentication plus a configurable firewall. The unit fits standard 19-inch racks with a mounting depth adjustable from 60 cm to 81 cm and occupies 1U of rack height.

Questions about this item

Will the 17" LCD drawer fit my existing 19" rack with a 60 cm depth?

Yes, the unit mounts in a standard 1U 19" rack and the sliding rails adjust from 60 cm to 81 cm depth, so a 60 cm cabinet works.

How can I verify the IP remote session is active at 1280x1024 after installation?

Open the OSD menu on the LCD or the client software; both show the current video mode, and the panel's native resolution is 1280x1024.

Do the eight included KVM cables cover every server port, or must I buy extra cables for the daisy-chain ports?

The package supplies eight KVM cables for the eight primary ports; daisy-chaining up to 64 computers requires additional cascade cables not included.
